Most people living with dementia are living at home and want to remain vibrant in their community. There are many books, videos, games and materials that can make your library a dementia-friendly environment, a place where people can find entertainment and respite when dealing with this difficult disease. In addition to the resources for the person living with dementia, we will also discuss resources and programming ideas for caregivers. We will also talk about the Music and Memory Customized Music therapy program for people living with dementia and other degenerative neurologic disorders. Please join us to learn about new ideas, and to share your ideas with your colleagues.
Please let us know in advance if you will need an accommodation that will make this event accessible to you. For further information, please contact: Valerie Lewis (Administrator for Outreach Services) 631-286-1600 ext. 1354 or @ firstname.lastname@example.org
