Catfishing and Financial Scams

Catfishing — when a person creates a fake identity online to pretend they are someone else- is an online abuse tactic used to take advantage of another individual. Catfishes target vulnerable online users- like the elderly or lonely- and quickly take control of their finances. Join VIBS as we explore the intersect of catfishing and financial abuse and discuss the ways to keep yourself safe in an increasingly virtual world.

The Agenda, Minutes, Treasurer's Report and all program handouts plus recording of programs will be available on the SCLA Support Staff Division website
