Professional Development 2 Hours

Please join us in the SCLS Auditorium on Monday, November 14th from 10:00 am to Noon, for an in-person presentation that will highlight current information and statistics about HIV/AIDS in our region.

The presenter, Lenny Spada, a member of the Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries team, will also provide information on prevention, treatment, and related services that are available on Long Island.

Mr. Spada will provide information about articles, websites, and government agencies that would be valuable additions to your collection.

The program will incorporate literature and data from the NYS AIDS Institute, NYS Dept. of Health, New York City Dept. of Health, and CDC. Attendees will also receive contact information for local medical facilities and community-based organizations which provide HIV testing, treatment, and prevention tools.
