Event Details

NewsGuard is an effort to fight misinformation through human intelligence. They rate news sites using nine journalistic standards for credibility, and provide ‘Nutrition Labels’ for these sites which explain the rating and provide information about the news site’s ownership, financing, and transparency. They offer a no-cost media literacy partnership program for public libraries. This program has helped more than 800 public libraries in the U.S. and Europe by providing them with a free research tool that helps their communities build media literacy skills.
