Event Details

At 10am, Matthew Setteducati, Supervising Safety & Health Inspector from NYS Department of Labor, PESH, will discuss workplace safety and walk through how to prepare for a building audit.

At 1pm, Monica Hauck-Whealton, Records Advisor Officer from NYS Archives will be presenting on Library Records Retention. This session will provide an introduction to management of records created, received, and maintained by libraries, including:

  • How to identify records
  • Determining how long each record type needs to be kept
  • Designing filing systems for ease of access
  • Disposing of records

We’ll also discuss services and resources available from the State Archives, including grant programs for public and association libraries.
