Professional Development 4 Hours for each session in the five session series.

Library Carpentry focuses on building software and data skills within library and information-related communities. Their goal is to empower people in these roles to use software and data in their own work and to become advocates for and train others in efficient, effective and reproducible data and software practices.

Aug 24: Intro to Working with Data & Tidy Data 
Aug 25: SQL
Aug 26: Open Refine
Sept 1: Unix Shell
Sept 2: Intro to Git

Register for the five session series.

Intro to Git: Begin to understand and use Git/GitHub. You will not be an expert by the end of the class. You will probably not even feel very comfortable using Git. This is okay. We want to offer you a start but, as with any skill, using Git takes practice.
