Editors Wanted!
Join us at SCLS for our first Livebrary Topic Guides Edit-A-Thon.
Help create a Livebrary Topic Guide! An electronic pathfinder which is maintained and edited in real time for librarians and library patrons to use to find trusted resources.
Bring your expertise and your enthusiasm for a favorite subject and we’ll teach you how to create the guides. It’s easy and fun!
Lunch will be served. Professional Development Hours.
How to sign up:
- Fill out the online registration form and give us three topics that you are interested in editing or developing (if it's a new topic). We can’t promise you your first choice but we’ll try our best. Some guides may have more than one editor.
- If you do not already have a Springshare account, you will be asked to set one up. Springshare will send you an email with instructions on how to create your account. Please have this completed before the Edit-A-Thon. If you need help setting up your account, please place a ticket in the call center at help@suffolknet.org.
- Come to the Edit-A-Thon with ideas about your topic. We encourage you to bring your own laptop; however we will have access to the computer lab in the afternoon.
