Event Details

According to Wikipedia “…almost all North American public libraries offer some form of readers' advisory”.  This includes audio book recommendations using services such as Overdrive, which allow users to search by narrator; or Novelist, which allows readers to discover titles by favorite narrator.  With all that on offer,  why not also help patrons discover podcasts that they love? We’ll talk about popular podcast categories and help you navigate the many directories of Podcasts out there.

Presenters:

Howard Gunston is a writer from Long Island.  His original podcast, Writers comma Ice Cream, serves craft talk with dash of brain freeze and streams on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud and online at writersicecream.com

Samantha Alberts works for the Suffolk Cooperative Library System.  She had the privlege of learning about Readers Advisory when she was a student at CUNY Queens from Mary K. Chelton.
