Do you want to be a Falls Prevention Program Facilitator at your Library?
Please join us for a zoom meeting on Thursday, November 17th, to learn more about being a Falls Prevention Program Facilitator for your Library.
If you attended the in-person meeting on October 24th, there is no need to attend this meeting. This is being offered for member library colleagues who were not able to attend that presentation.
Stony Brook Medicine has been awarded the 2022 Empowering Communities to Deliver and Sustain Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Programs. This grant will support Stony Brook Medicine’s Long Island regional project to increase capacity and sustainability of older adult falls prevention programs efforts over the next 3 years. Kristi L. Ladowski, Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator with the Stony Brook Medicine Trauma Center, will provide information on the training and what is involved.
If member libraries are interested in this opportunity, future training sessions will be scheduled to be held at SCLS. This meeting is not a training. It is an overview of the program and how you can learn to facilitate the programs for your community.
