This group meets to address the challenges of inclusive emergency preparedness and recovery.
Public libraries play an important role in sharing preparedness information with its community. Learn how to ensure that the information you're sharing is provided by reliable sources and includes everyone. People with disabilities, low literacy skills and people who speak English as a second language are often the most vulnerable in the event of a natural or manmade disaster. Providing information in usable and inclusive formats will make the difference in being able to prepare for, survive and recover from an emergency.
This group meets quarterly and includes representatives from community organizations and agencies interested in ensuring access to information for all.
All library staff are welcome and encouraged to be part of the conversation. We look forward to your input and ideas.
