Event Details
The ServSafe Food Manager program was developed by the National Restaurant Association’s Learning and Development team. The course reflects the current research and science in food safety and aligns with the latest FDA Food Code.
- The cost of the course is $160 per staff member and will be billed to the library from SCLS.
- The class is accepted by the Suffolk County Department of Health
- Includes Classroom Materials
- Includes the Food Safe exam
- If you pass the exam, you will be rewarded with the ServSafe certificate, which is good for three years in Suffolk County.
- This class starts at 9 AM, and you have lunch on your own.
- Cancellations can be made until the morning of the class, but credits for course fee will not be given unless the session seat is filled.
Instructor: Margaret Dixon is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University. She has a bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant/Institutional Management. She is a previous employee of Nassau County Department of Health where she worked in the Office of Food Protection for over 10 years. She has also received an extensive education in Nutrition at Queens College. Margaret is also the owner of Long Island Food Safety Consulting.
