Our Gale representative, Pam Batcho, is offering an informational webinar for those of you that might be interested in Udemy, an online learning resource.  The webinar will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 2-3 pm.  A trial of the site will be available upon request after the webinar.  Please contact Ellen Nasto (ellen@suffolknet.org) if you have further questions.

About Udemy:
Udemy instructors are world-class thought leaders, subject matter experts, best-selling authors, and award-winning professors. This resource offers over 6,000 courses which encompass topics from technology to language, mindfulness to Microsoft Office, finance, cloud computing, cooking, human resources, acoustic guitar and other instruments, drawing, photography, and much more. It is also a wonderful resource for PD within the library team. As of November 2020, Udemy now features approximately 2000 courses created in 5 native languages: French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Japanese, with more coming in the near future. Over 5,000 courses also feature closed captioning in languages other than English.

The goal of this meeting is to introduce you to the resource and provide a brief walk through of the patron experience followed by a question and answer period. The meeting will be recorded and available later, but you are encouraged to have someone from your library in attendance.
