Who answers the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline? What resources do we have in Suffolk County for somebody experiencing an emotional crisis or suicidal thoughts? How do we talk about suicide in our community in a meaningful, safe way? This 2-hour program invites you to have a conversation about mental health, suicide prevention and crisis intervention with Anne Deubel, Assistant Director of Community Education, Outreach and Advocacy for Response Crisis Center and Board Co-Chair for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Long Island Chapter. The program will provide an overview of 988 and Response Crisis Center, an introduction to how to talk to somebody that may be struggling, an outline of our educational programs available to your community, and closing with a Q&A.

This program will be immediately followed by a NARCAN Training session with John Aicher, Emergency Preparedness Officer for the Suffolk County Department of Health Services/EMS.  Register here for NARCAN Training which begins at noon.
